About the firm
Established in 1989, Frank Kapitza & Associates is a CPA Firm with offices in Fairfield, Parsippany and Short Hills serving the Northern New Jersey area. We specialize in tax and accounting services for small and closely held businesses with an eye towards the combined personal and corporate financial picture. We seek to provide a comprehensive solution to the pressures of the everyday small business owner with aggressive and experienced tax preparation as well as comprehensive bookkeeping services.
Our value proposition is that we usually save our clients more money in taxes than their overall fee to us if they follow our advice. This makes our firm a profit center, more times than not, as opposed to a traditional expense center.
Frank Kapitza began his accounting career working for AT&T then spent many years as a Real Estate Accountant for Prudential, the largest real estate developer in the world. Later he worked as an Assistant Controller for a restaurant software company before starting his own CPA firm in 1989.
Frank received his B.S. in Business Administration in 1983 from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an M.S. in Financial Planning in 2000 from Seton Hall. He secured his CPA license in 1992 and is also a Licensed Mortgage Originator. He’s a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Frank was born in Queens but moved to New Jersey as a child and has resided there ever since. He lives in the Packanack Lake area of Wayne, NJ with his wife Yvonne, daughter Emily, and their beloved golden retriever, Sammy Boy.
